Stephen Abbott Brooks

Stephen Abbott Brooks, age 62, of Climax, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC

Steve was born in Evanston, Illinois on February 27,1957 , he was the son of the late John Brooks and Louise Ford. He served our country in the Army during the Vietnam War Era. He Worked as a welder for most of his life. and especially loved his wife Debbie. Steve enjoyed spending time with his friends, dancing, tattoos, music, shooting pool,riding his tramp, and having fun.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by grandson Seth Brooks. Surviving is his loving wife Debbie Brooks, son Jonathan Brooks(Gabrielle) , stepson Danny Ellis (Angie), brothers Michael Brooks (Iva), Jefferson Brooks (Angie) , Sister Pam Metzger, grandchildren Jaxon, Payton, Christian, and Gianna.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Forbis & Dick, Pleasant Garden Chapel, 4601 Pleasant Garden Road, Pleasant Garden, NC , followed by a Celebration of Life at their home at 6163 Pepperidge Way , Climax, NC 27233

In Lieu of flowers, Memorial may be made to Cone Health Palliative Medicine Team, 1200 North Elm Street , Greensboro, NC, 27401.
