Sheridan Jean White, 82, of Oak Ridge, NC passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025, after a courageous seven-year battle with cancer.
Born in Titusville, Pennsylvania, to Ralph and Betty Palmer, Sherrie lived a life full of love, strength, and grace. She found great joy in reading, cherished time spent with her grandchildren, and especially looked forward to the annual beach trips with her family—a tradition that brought everyone together and created memories to last a lifetime.
Sherrie also had a deep love for animals and shared a special bond with her dog, Angel, who remained faithfully by her side throughout her cancer journey, offering comfort, loyalty, and unwavering companionship when she needed it most.
Sherrie is survived by her five children: Scott Foote (Angela) of Townville, PA; Michael Foote (Brenda) of Acworth, GA; Patrick Foote (Sydney) of Birmingham, AL; Julie Mosbacher (Duane) of Oak Ridge, NC; and Colleen Henry (Scott) of Bloomfield Hills, MI. She also leaves behind her brother Charles Palmer of Ocala, FL, as well as her beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, niece, and nephew.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent White.
Sherrie’s quiet strength, warm spirit, and deep love for her family—and for the animals who brought joy and peace into her life—will be remembered always. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be planned at a later date.
