Sharon Elizabeth (Stewart) Feury

Sharon Elizabeth (Stewart) Feury, age 65 Passed away on Saturday August 26,2023 in Reidsville, N.C. Sharon is survived by her 3 children, Keri Stewart, Russell McCauley, and Ethan Feury; 4 grandchildren, Noah, Percephanie, Takaeda, and Oliver; Brother and wife, Mike and Patsy Stewart, sisters, Toddie Stewart, and Kitty Stewart , and her friend and soul sister, Dana Brizendine. She was preceded in death by her parents , Russell Stewart and Elizabeth "Ann" Stewart Barnett, and her brother, Harry Stewart.

Sharon was born and raised in Salem, VA. She was a creative sprit and found music very early in life, being surrounded by a musical family. Her love of music and creativity drove her passion in playing guitar, which would become her lifelong career. Sharon began teaching guitar as  a young adult at Ridenhour Music Center. Her love of music and enjoyment in teaching  led to her eventually opening her own music school, "Sharon Feury's School of Guitar" where she shared her love of music and passion for performance with many. Sharon was also a talented songwriter and performer and will be fondly remembered by many students and musicians across the Salem and Roanoke Valley in Virginia.

Sharon had a deep love and caring nature for her children and her grandchildren. She always looked forward to spending time, sharing creative ideas, and encouraging imagination with those that she loved. She left so many memories of love, support, silliness, fantasy, and important life lessons with her family and close friends.

Sharon's favorite season was always Spring, a time for New Beginnings. The family will plan a Celebration of  Life to be held in early spring, The family will be provide details and all will be welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please send donations to The Breast Cancer Foundation, Susan G. Komen to continue to support their efforts to prevent and fight breast cancer. The Family would like to thank Hospice of Rockingham County for all of their support and care.
