Our beloved Rose Marie Moore was Called from labor to eternal rest on Saturday, October 5,2024, in Winston-Salem, NC. She was a dearly loved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Rose Marie was born on June 20,1936, to the late Barns Gillespie Moore and Ellen Marie Moore (Nee Morris) in Tazewell County, Virginia, where she spent her formative years. she graduated from Tazewell County High School in 1954 and went on to attend Morristown College in Morristown, Tennessee, where she studied cosmetology and played basketball.
She was a lifelong member of Midway Church of Christ in Tazewell, Virginia. Throughout her life, she was known for her hard work, dedication, passion for her family, and for helping others.
Rose Marie is survived by her son, Howard G. Moore of Winston-Salem, a sister, Queenie M. Moore of Winston-Salem, NC; nieces, Ellen Barney (harry) and Margaret House of Winston-Salem, NC and a nephew, James Brown Jr. (Kimberly) of Bluefield, West Virginia. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Margaret "Tib Brown.
A gathering to celebrate her life will be held at Midway Church of Christ in Tazewell, Virginia, on October 19, 2024, at 1:00pm.
