Robert Lee Hunter

Robert Lee Hunter, 78, departed this life on September 4, 2025, at home. Robert Hunter was born in Pomaria, SC on October 25, 1946, to the late Luvenia Moses Hunter and George Washington Hunter. He was joined in marriage to Minnie Lee Thrower of Lancaster, SC on August 22, 1981. Robert was the owner of Hunter’s General Maintenance Service’s. He was known for his janitorial, painting and remodeling skills. He loved to be outside in the yard or inside cooking for his family. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceeded in death by sisters Dorothy and Willie Mae, brothers George Jr, James, Larry, Macedonia, Charles, a son, Robert Alexander Hunter, a daughter Tracey Richardson, and 2 great grandchildren. 

He is survived by his wife, Minnie Lee  Thrower Hunter of Dillon, SC, two children, Michael (Cynthia) of Greensboro, NC, Stacey Lindsay of Newberry, SC; three sisters, Daisy Maitland of Newberry, SC, Barbara Houseal Williams of Pomaria SC and Sue Houseal of Oakland, CA; seven brothers, Nathaniel (Margaret) Hunter of Columbia, SC; John (Darlene) Hunter and Gary Hunter of Whitmire, SC; Harold (Mary) Hunter of Clayton, NC; Calvin Holley, Charles Hunter, Bernard (Ruby) Holley all of Newbery, S.C; 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, special nieces, Adrienne, Alexus (Rat)  & Normani , a host of nieces, nephews,  other family members and friends. 

  Memorial Service entrusted to Regional Memorial Cremation/ 

Memorial Service will be held at Greene's Funeral Home ,402 E. Calhoun Street , Dillon , SC, 29536      (Saturday Sept 13,2025    @ 2:00PM)
