Richard W Atkinson Sr. Pleasant Garden, NC. March 10,1944 Brunswick Co.N.C. to the late William Preston Atkinson Sr. and Lottie Dora Davis :Passed away unexpectantly due to health complications on July 6,2018 at the Hospice House of Randolph Count with his family by his side. Richard was a Graduate of Topsail High School ,he moved to Greensboro and pursued a Career in Manufacturing and Retired from Machining. Richard was a kind good hearted man on the inside and would do for others before taking care of himself, he enjoyed the outdoors and working in his yard when time would allow. He was always inventing things to fix his many personal projects or just to have something to do . Richard was a very private guy unless it came to his family.

Richard was the eleventh child of thirteen, he was preceded Death by:

Three Brothers,William Preston Atkinson Jr.,Carl McLaurin Atkinson, Craven Eldridge Atkinson, Five Sisters, Ada Frances (Atkinson) Morgan, Bertha Hazel ( Atkinson) Wolfe,Marjorie Davis (Atkinson) Coston, Mary Alice Atkinson, and Patsy Lou(Atkinson) Weaver.

Richard is Survived by his wife of 49 Years Donna Jo (Gailey) Atkinson of the Home,and Richard W .Jr.,William Shane , and James Byron of Pleasant Garden N.C. and two grand sons Richard W.lll and Jacob Ryan also of Pleasant Garden N.C. He is also Survived By siblings Troy Jessup Atkinson(Rosemarie) of Md. And Worda F. (Atkinson ) Brown (Andy) of Whittsett N.C

Robert Atkinson (Elaine) of Summerfield N.C and James Atkinson (Anne) of Huntersville N.C. And numerous nieces and nephews.

Arrangements:

As per Richard's wish the Cremation Services were provided by : Regional Memorial Cremations and Funeral Services, 1017 Arnold Street Greensboro , NC 27405

A Celebration of his life will be held at a Later Date and Time to be determined ,
