A Celebration of Life for Gertrude Betty Lee Johnson
Gertrude Betty Lee Johnson born on April 9, 1935 was granted her heavenly wings on February 6, 2025. Gertrude grew up in the Terra Cotta community in Greensboro, North Carolina and was educated in the Guilford County Public School System.
Gertrude joined church at a very early age and continued to build her faith upon God‘s Holy word. Gertrude was known by many names such as: Momma, Ma, Grandma, Aunt Gertrude and Ms. Gert. Gertrude enjoyed cooking Sunday dinners, celebrating with family, dancing, playing cards (deuces as long as she was winning), and having those amazing cookouts, we all attended.
The spirit of Gertrude was to nurture (giving a place to stay to many). To give (if you have a need she would see how she could help you and to love unconditionally! To know Gertrude was to love her.
