George Franklin Pierce May 1, 1940 - February 19, 2024
Obituary
George Franklin Pierce of Moore County, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at First Health Hospice House of Moore County. He was 83 years old at the time of his passing.
George was preceded in death by his mother, Sadie Pierce and sister, Belle Pierce. Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Lois Corrado and her husband Ron, nieces Felicia Miller, Wendy Edwards, and Christie Gagan, and seven great nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
George attended the NC School for the Deaf in Morganton, NC and he cherished the memories made during his time there especially of sports. After graduating from the NC School for the Deaf, he began his life long career with them.
George loved God, spending time with his family, gathering with friends, watching sports and the news, and enjoying a good meal.
A memorial service to celebrate George’s life will be held at 3:00pm, Sunday, February 25, 2024 at Church of God of Prophecy, 10392 N211, Aberdeen, NC 28315 with Rev. Phil Pierce.
