Daniel Eugene Hart, 49, of Pfafftown, North Carolina, passed away on March 25, 2026.
Born on August 6, 1976, Daniel lived a life defined by hard work, humor, and a deep love for those around him.
Daniel was a retired railroad engineer, a career that reflected his dedication and strong work ethic. Outside of work, he had a passion for working on cars and was known for always having a project going. Whether he was under the hood or spending time with family, Daniel always found a way to make people laugh. He was a natural jokester who never met a stranger and had a way of making everyone feel at ease.
Daniel was a proud father and devoted grandfather. He loved his two girls deeply and took great pride in being a “Papa D” to his grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent with them. His family was the center of his world, and the memories he created with them will be held close forever.
He is survived by his life partner Anne “Liz” Snow, and her son, Hunter; his daughters, Jordann Swicegood and her husband Matthew, and Bree Sherrill and her husband Andrew; and his cherished grandchildren, Eleanor, Levi, and Lainey. He also leaves behind his mother, Connie Hart, grandmother Philerine Hart, siblings, multiple nieces and a nephew, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his “Papa”, Arlie A. Hart.
In accordance with his wishes, Daniel will be cremated. No formal services are scheduled at this time.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Daniel’s memory to a charity of your choice
Daniel’s memory will live on in the laughter he shared and the love he gave to his family and friends.
