Cindy Lee Pegram Peebles, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 30th, 2025 at the age of 69 in her hometown of Greensboro , North Carolina.
Born on December 30th, 1956, Cindy was the daughter of Cleo Pegram and Sarah Hipp Pegram Jaggers . She attended Proximity and graduated from Dudley High School in 1975. Cindy was employed at Cone Mills, Lorillard , Pegram West Inc., The Saw Mill, The Yacht Club, Happy Times II, Wahoo's Bar, The Corner Bar , and Walker's Bar.
Cindy is survived by her brother, Ritchie Pegram and his wife , Judy Pegram; her nephews Brandon Pegram, Luke Pegram , Zack Hicks; her niece, Kourtney McMasters; aunts, cousins, and goddaughter. Along with her family of friends, who she chose to spend time with, will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Randall Pegram; and her husband, Teddy Peebles.
Cindy was known for her competitive spirit, sharp wit, and unwavering strength. she enjoyed bowling, fishing, shag dancing and playing the 'air drums'. She was an avid golfer and huge sports fan. Namely , all things , Dallas Cowboys , UNC, Dale Earnhardt, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. She lived to the fullest.
Thank you to all those who helped in the time that lead up to Cindy's passing, with trips to doctors appointments, check ins, and being moral support. Specifically, Sand Summers , Vicki Turner, Natalie Mathason, Laura Jenkins and many , many more.
A family and friends gathering will be held on Sunday, June 1st from 2-4 pm at 1403 Vine Street, Greensboro North Carolina . In addition, a Celebration of Cindy's life will be held at Walker's Bar, date and time to be announced . All who knew and loved her are encouraged to attend, as we share stories and toast her memory.
