Bryant Tate

Bryant Fuller Tate, 67, of Greensboro, NC entered his eternal home on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 surrounded by his loving family and his favorite music.

Bryant was born March 30, 1958, in High Point, North Carolina, to Elease Reeder.  Growing up in Jamestown, NC he graduated from Ragsdale High School and attended Davidson Community College where he played basketball for 2 years. He then worked for Duke Power for 26 years, where he developed his skills as a lineman and built lifelong friendships. Bryant's love for people led him to his next career of selling cars. Regardless of whether someone was buying or just looking, anyone who interacted with Bryant knew they had spoken to a man of faith, honesty, and integrity.

Bryant was a simple man with a big personality and an even bigger smile. He sought God daily, loved with his whole heart, and fiercely protected his family. His life was his ministry. After retiring, he became an Uber driver, where he never missed an opportunity to share his knowledge, advice, or encouragement. He had a rare gift for making others smile and laugh, leaving a lasting impact on everyone he met. Bryant's favorite things included praising God, grilling with family and friends, listening to old-school music and taking long, long naps and not necessarily in that order.

Bryant was preceded in death by his mother, Elease Reeder; sister and brother-in-law Delores and Rayford Seymour; nephews Demetrius Rayvon and Sterling.

Bryant is survived and missed by his loving wife of 26 years Nancy Haynes-Tate; and his sons Curtis Haynes Moore and Bryant Fuller Tate Jr.  Forever cherished and remembered by his siblings and their families Sandra Patton (Keith), Danny Rhyne (Marie) and Eunice Breeze (Kirby).

His memory lives on in the hearts of his Aunt Mittie Barr; his nieces and nephews, Rontrell (Celeste), A. Nicole (Chandra), Brandon, Lauren, Jasmine, Tyanna, Sophia, Aaliyah and Bryson; his numerous cousins along with many other family members who will miss him dearly. 

For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing. (2 Timothy 4:6-8)

The Celebration of Life ceremony to honor Bryant F. Tate will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday May 18, 2025at Oka T. Hester Park (Shelter #1), 3615 Deutzia St., Greensboro .  Please bring lawn chairs and your favorite memories as we will continue to honor him with a picnic after the service.
