With heavy hearts, we, the staff and management of Regional Memorial Cremation and Funeral Services, along with the Lewis Family, announce the transition of Mr. Alton Pridgen Lewis Sr. on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at his home in High Point NC. Alton was born August 17, 1964 to Tom Lewis and Estelle Jones Lewis in Durham, North Carolina.
He was predeceased by his parents, three sisters, Gertrude Alston, Laura Alston and Adele Lewis Alston, one brother, Roger Jones.
Alton was baptized June 21, 2014 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. He found so much delight in the preaching work and speaking about God's Kingdom. That is why he pioneered for about 8 years. His favorite scripture was Matthew 6:33.
Alton is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Trina Lewis, one son, Alton Pridgen Lewis Jr., two daughters, Kyra Lewis, High Point and LisaShawn Evan, Texas, two sisters, Nellie Edgerton and Annie Short, High Point, one brother, Thomas Earl Lewis, eight grandchildren, one aunt, Annie Davis and one uncle, Johnnie Williams, and host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Special thanks to Brother Andrew Broadnax and Brother James Perna and others in the congregation who assisted him to the point of dedication and baptism.
Memorial will be Saturday, September 23, 2023 @ 2:30 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1600 N Centennial Street, High Point NC 27262. Zoom Information is forthcoming.
