Mrs. Adelita Lee Ludwick Swaim ,was the youngest of eight children and the daughter of the late Luther S. Ludwick and Carrie Jones. Adelita passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025 , surrounded by the love of her family and friends. She was born November 22, 1939 in Surry County. Adelita lived a life full of grace , resilience, and unwavering faith , leaving a legacy that will be cherished for generations. She was loving, Kind caring and a sweet person; her smile would brighten any room. She loved her animals, and enjoyed working as a Vet Tech. She was a resident of Mills Home from 1946-1958. and was a graduate of Wingate University Class of 1960 studying Pre-Med, she became a X-Ray Tech in March 1984 and she was employed by Jamestown Family Practice, Jamestown NC. and retired in July 2008. she was married for 41 years to Philip Alan Swaim, which preceded her in death and he was the love of her life. Adelita was a longtime member of Mount Hope United Church of Christ, where she found joy in fellowship and service , and she was a devoted friend who never missed an opportunity to lend a helping hand or share a kind word. She was part of the garden club. She leaves to cherish her memories her two sons Shane Alan Swaim and Paul D Swaim "Denny" , 2 grandchildren Heather and Nathan, 1 Great-grand Tate, and a special friend over 60 years Peggy Welker .and a host of nieces , nephews cousins and friends.
